The Best College in America

Not too long ago, when Mitt Romney said that Barack Obama was a nice guy, it gave me the heebie-jeebies. It was like an ice cube running down my spine, reminding me of the sissy campaign John McCain waged in 2008, when he refused to even refer to Jeremiah Wright, William Ayers and Tony Rezko. Instead, it was as if McCain had decided that the best way to deal with the ex-community agitator was to pretend the DNC had first discovered their standard bearer floating in a basket down among the bulrushes.

As Obama has proven time and again over the past three years, he’s anything but a nice guy. He’s a bad winner, a sore loser, and a thin-skinned, arrogant, narcissist. And if that’s not enough, he is a racist who keeps Eric Holder on board, even after Operation Fast and Furious, to do his bidding. For good measure, he’s an unrepentant Marxist who, time and again, has shown his contempt for this country and its history.

It has become a mantra that Obama is brilliant and a fabulous orator, which proves that a lie repeated often enough is assumed to be the truth. The latest example of his brilliance was his insistence that the Supreme Court lacked precedence to decide whether a bill passed by Congress is unconstitutional. The bill in question was only passed after his capos, Pelosi and Reid, had bribed and intimidated 60 senators into voting for it. In the House, where the Democrats held a margin of 41 seats, ObamaCare barely passed by seven votes.

But even if it had sailed through both Houses with nary a negative vote, the Court had ruled such bills unconstitutional 159 times in the past. I guess his students weren’t the only ones who nodded off when Obama was allegedly teaching Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago. It appears that he was no better suited to the lecture hall than he’s been to the Oval Office.

For those who parrot Obama’s contention that RomneyCare was the model for ObamaCare, they should be reminded that individual states can pretty much do whatever they want without being unduly concerned with the Commerce Clause. The actual model for ObamaCare was a failed piece of legislation cobbled together during Bill Clinton’s first term best known as HillaryCare.

A great many Americans seem surprised that Obama has gone out of his way to destroy the coal and oil industries in this country. I guess when he was campaigning in 2008 and promising to do exactly that, people assumed he didn’t mean it, figuring he couldn’t possibly be that insane. Why, after all, would the president wish to keep us captive to the cut-throats in the Middle East, Russia and Venezuela? And why would he then compound the problem by nixing the Keystone pipeline? To such people, I say, has it ever entered your thick skulls that, like his wife, he was never proud of this country? In fact, I’d suggest that, aside from the presidential perks, he doesn’t like it even a little bit.

The one thing he is mad about, though, is green energy. In fact he is so entranced with everything green that he even devised a health plan that deals with the elderly by turning them into Soylent Green wafers.

By now, we all know that the folks in the General Services Administration (GSA) squandered a fortune in tax dollars vacationing in Vegas, Hawaii and Palm Springs. When reprimanded, they defended themselves by pointing out that the Obamas have squandered millions more cavorting in Hawaii, Spain and Mexico…and there are only the four of them.

That leads me to wonder how big an allowance the Obamas dole out to Malia and Sasha. When their father is more than willing to blow a billion dollars just to hang on to his job, I can see where it might be difficult to tell the kids that they have to earn their money. Knowing teenagers as I do, I can just see Malia rolling her eyes over that bit of parental folderol.

Now that we all know that the Obamas paid a mere 20% of their income to the IRS, I have been waiting for Warren Buffet’s secretary to cry “Foul!” and for her boss to tell Obama in no uncertain terms that it’s high time he paid his fair share.

Finally, with all the golf Obama has played over the past three years, a friend asked me if I had any idea what his handicap was these days. All I could say was, “Where do I start?”

Send: I have written about Obama’s questionable right to be president because I think it is an important constitutional issue, but at this late date, I would like to see him voted out.  It would be a lot faster than going through the courts.  In the meantime, I wish Arpaio and Klayman godspeed.  And for the record, I resent it when I hear a conservative talk show host like Michael Medved pooh-poohing so-called “birthers.”

  • sendtheclunkerbacktochicago

Burt, you described McCain’s campaign as being a “sissy” campaign because they refused to vet all of the Obama Marxist connections.  Let me tell you something, the real sissies in this nightmare we are living with the usurper in the White House  are the conservative media outlets, all of them with the exception of Worldnetdaily and now American Thinker and some low level conservative blogs.  First of all when the Democrat birthers challenged McCain’s “natural born Citizen” status they all should have protested and ask that Barack Hussein Obama be vetted in the same manner as to his “natural born Citizen” status.  He would have never survived that vetting, he is not a “natural born Citizen” his father was a British subject at the time of Obama’s birth (if there is a legitimate record of that) and for that matter, Obama is still a British protected person/British Citizen according to the British Nationality Act of 1948 which is still the law of the land in England.  We would not be living this damn nightmare if the conservative media and John McCain had done their jobs.

Second, there is more than ample evidence that has been collected over the past 7 months by Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his unblemished career law enforcement officers known as the Cold Case Posse to move that investigation from “probable cause” to a “on-going criminal investigation.”  How the hell isn’t this red meat for the conservative media?  You know that it would be red meat for all of the liberal media outlets if it were any high profile Republican.  Not a whimper from the conservative media – has their souls been blackened.

There are a dozen Obama ballot challenges going on across the country, some of which are on appeal in the federal courts because the original judgments were pathetic and worthy of appeal.  Not a whimper about this in the conservative media outlets.  There is another Obama ballot challenge about to take place in Florida.  The founder of Judicial Watch, Larry Klayman is leading this ballot challenge and not a whimper from the likes of Bernie Goldberg (John Daly).   I think Bernie is the worse offender in that he is always hammering the liberal media outlets for their bias reporting when he is dirty himself for missing the scandal of the century.

Maybe there should be a fund put together to bribe one of these conservative cowards to come out and do their damn job, report the news and let America decide what to believe.  Black outs are totally unacceptable and unethical.  Shame on all their sorry butts.

    kegano5: I feel better, too.

floridahank: It’s still a little early to get too down on Romney.  Right now, he is only the presumptive candidate.  I did offer my services as a speech writer, but that didn’t seem to excite Team Romney.  But until the conventions are held, independent voters barely pay any attention, so it would probably be a waste of good ammo to start firing at Obama this early in the year.

  • kegan05

FINALLY!  Someone who is not afraid to tell the truth about Comrade Obama.  I hope Romney will wake up soon.  Obama is NOT a “nice guy.”  He is a divisive, finger-pointing, petulant, thin-skinned partisan HACK!

    There, I feel better now…………

    • sendtheclunkerbacktochicago

Please, “someone is not afraid to tell the truth about Comrade Obama.”  This stuff is all old news and it rolled off Barack Obama’s back like water off a duck’s back.  No guts here.  What would take guts would be jumping on a plane and flying into Phoenix, AZ and have a day long chat with Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his lead investigator Mike Zullo and report back to all of America as to what those career law enforcement officers discovered in their 6 month investigation that is now an “on-going criminal investigation.”  Now that would take guts.  Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his amazing volunteer law enforcement officers (unblemished records I might add) are taking on the POTUS who has the entire power of the United States government at his beck and call, now that takes guts especially knowing that Eric Holder would destroy anyone who dares take on his boss (we are his boss but he hasn’t figured that out yet).  If Eric Holder didn’t think that Sheriff Joe Arpaio had slam dunk evidence to prove their case he would have been there with his army of government lawyers to charge and arrest America’s Sheriff.  Given that, there should be 50 conservative journalist and news men demanding an audience with the Sheriff and his lead investigator Mike Zullo.

  • floridahank

With all the failures of Obama, if Romney doesn’t come out with guns blazing soon, I’ll think him gutless and Obama will be reelected.  I don’t know who Romney’s advisors,
researchers, speech writers are, but if they don’t put together a hard-hitting agenda, we
might as well look for another 4 yrs. of Obama.
With the right people strongly backing Romney, he could easily beat Obama — the next few
weeks/months will tell us the ending.

  • BurtPrelutsky

    Shaune:  Good additions.

    Iklwa: It’s B-u-r-t.

Ted: I find it funny that liberals always insist that their politicians are brilliant.  As a conservative, I’d say proof that they’re actually stupid is that they ballyhoo socialism, a system that rewards sloth and mediocrity, and demean capitalism, a system that rewards intelligence and perseverance.  Every so often they concoct phony IQ numbers for presidents that inevitably have clowns like Obama, Clinton and Carter, with numbers that make Einstein look like a clodhopper.

  • Ted Wight

“Brilliant”, I think not.  He has been blessed with a deep, DJ voice but when he has to speak extemporaneously he hesitates, as if he is afraid of making a mistake, almost stutters.  He can read fairly well, however.  As for intelligence, as with Clinton I don’t think he possess much more than average intellect.  But his voice is magnetic, as is his laugh and white-capped teeth smile.  He’s not as intrinsically warm as Clinton, not at all, but has gotten ahead by BS, not brilliance.

  • Ted Wight

Depends on how one defines “nice guy”; if it’s a cold, calculated power-mad narcissist, yes, he’s a nice guy.  But if a “nice guy” is someone you’d like to have a beer or snort of coke with, NOT!  Even his old girl friends remarked how closed up he was.  Only another power mad narcissist like Michelle could think of him as a nice guy, while she basks in his shadow and profits from it.

    • sendtheclunkerbacktochicago

Lets not define what a “nice guy” is or isn’t.  Let define what a “usurper” is and you will find that we have one in the Oval Office (Clinton’s whorehouse).  What a sorry bunch of “sissies” we have in the Conservative media outlets.  All of them are cowering in fear for their jobs and their reputations.  Think about this for a moment, most of them praise our brave men and women in combat yet they cower in fear over the possible lose of mammon and reputation.  It doesn’t get any uglier than that.  I am a vet and I wouldn’t want one of them in my fox hole, wouldn’t trust them to watch my back.  Some of these folks claim they are Christians, since when do Christians run from the truth and cower in fear??

  • Iklwa

    To your comments above, Bert:
I suggest you don’t hold your breath, waiting for our Leader to change his hue.
You will just become part of his grand design…green…or red (faced).
I once heard a sage remark that communists were much like watermelons, green on the outside but red inside. In this case (the President’s) I fear the comparison not far off the mark.

  • Brhurdle

I believe history will show that the period of Obama’s leadership has the same level of partisan divisiviness as that of the Johnson/Nixon years. As we now know, a period when political maneuvering reached unacceptable levels of partisanship in response to the egos of the leaders to impose their agends regardless of the effect on the public.

  • cmacrider

You wrote ” To such people, I say, has it ever entered your thick skulls that, like his wife, he was never proud of this country? In fact, I’d suggest that, aside from the presidential perks, he doesn’t like it even a little bit.”

To be proud of your country, it seems to me that you have to have more than a superficial understanding of your country.  Now how would Obama understand the complexities and nuances of America when he has only read the Communist Manifesto (A political Pamphlet) and never even graduated to “Das Kapital” because he had to go off to hear a sermon by Rev. Wright?”

    Good Column.

  • BurtPrelutsky

Wil: It could be, but of course it isn’t.  I also despise Hillary Clinton, Henry Waxman, Harry Reid, Charles Schumer, Patty Murray, Jimmy Carter and  Michael Moore, and so as I can tell, they’re all white people.  On the other hand, I bet you can’t stand Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell, Condi Rice, Herman Cain and Shelby Steele.  It really is time for you to use your brain for something besides keeping your ears separated.

    • Shaune Kelly Scott

Wil clearly uses his special racist decoder ring when making such foolish pronouncements. And Burt, I’d like to add to your list Tim Scott, Allen West, Deneen Borelli, J. C. Watts, Clarence Thomas, et al.

    • sendtheclunkerbacktochicago

Mr. Prelutsky,  It is time for you and some of your Conservative friends to jump on a plane or drive a car to Phoenix, AZ and have a day long chat with Sheriff Joe Arpaio and his lead investigator Mike Zullo.  You will be sick to your stomach after viewing what they have found in their 7 month investigation.  It is a sorry time in America when Conservative media persons ignore the crime of the century, the Constitutional scandal of the century.  Are you going to remain a part of that pitiful legacy.  By ignoring this scandal you become an enabler of the one you so much despise.  You need to break  from those who are betraying all those amazing young men and women who are now in the hands of a usurper, a man who has proven he is hell bent on destroying the country.  Have you ever taken time to compare how the military reacted to President Bush every time he visited with them as compared to those times the Usurper in Chief appeared with them?   That should be your incentive to do something about it.  Get your ass to Phoenix!!

  • Wil

Burt, It could just be that you don’t like the thought of a black man in the White House.

    • Brhurdle

Yes, and it could be that his racial/ethnic background is the only factor in your evaluation of his performance.

    • sendtheclunkerbacktochicago

Will, isn’t Barack Hussein Obama 50% white, how does that compute to our “first black President?”  Do you know that Obama is 43.25% Arab, thus his funny name and all the persons on the father’s side with those Arab names?  Add that factor, how the hell does that compute to “first black President.”  Hell the 6.75% African/Negro wouldn’t have qualified him as a minority 10 or 15 years ago before they changed the law.  The hoax of the century, Obama was our “first black President.”  That blasts some holes in your dirty little racist rants.  I guess those who hate Obama’s Marxist/Radical Progressive/Communists philosophies hate White/Arabs, right Wil?

    • Jeffreydan

Willie, when you play the race card, you’re effectively admitting you have nothing of substance supporting your position.
By all means, please keep playing it.

  • Chuck_Borealis

Obama exhibits all the traits of a sociopath, so he seems charming to his victims. Ted Bundy had the same skills, but Obama’s not sadistic enough to personally kill his victims. I can’t figure out why this isn’t obvious to everyone.

    • Rick Johnson

I can’t figure out why it isn’t obvious to at least a majority, Chuck. Lord, I hope it is in November.

  • Rick Johnson

I too am concerned about Romney’s ‘nice guy’ approach. The Platitudinal One in the White House is not a nice guy and harbors hate beyond the ability of most of us to comprehend. Romney needs to leave the kid gloves home and tell the entire truth about the usurper in chief.

  • GlenFS

Where indeed?  But you forget, it wasn’t bulrushes he was found in,  Obama’s origins are more messianic!

    • Michael

You may be onto something.  If Obama is reelected, this time, instead of walking out between big Greek columns, he may come riding in on a jackass, with liberals running along ahead of him placing palm fronds on the ground.  They are just that darned full of themselves to equate him to Jesus, aren’t they?
