Who’s the Dummy?

Joe Biden may look like Jeff Dunham’s ventriloquist dummy, Walter, but I think even Walter makes a lot more sense.

Honest to God, I have no idea how Joe Biden got to be Vice President.  I remember when he ran for President in 1988 but backed out soon after a report surfaced that he, uh, how should I say, borrowed some words from others without giving them credit.  It was a different world back then.

Fast forward twenty years and it’s still a mystery how Barack Obama selected him as his running mate when, early on in the 2008 Presidential race, Biden said about Obama, “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

I can go on and on with Bidenisms but I’m more concerned about his recent statement in China and its one-child policy.

Before I get into that, what’s still stuck in my craw is Obama’s toast to the Chinese President in which he mentioned the “values that our people share…reverence for family…and desire to give our children a better life….”  Tell that to the millions of babies killed in China as a result of forced abortions and the 54 million+ we’ve killed in this country since 1973, Mr. President.

But getting back to Biden, a Roman Catholic by the way,  while speaking at SichuanUniversity, said, “Your [one-child] policy has been one which I fully understand…”  He didn’t condemn the totalitarian policy of forcing abortions on women, but condemned the fact that, economically, the policy is not sustainable.

Rep. Chris Smith, who co-sponsored a resolution in 2008, asking China to stop its forced abortion campaign, explained the reality of the policy.  “As a direct result of the government’s one child policy, tens of millions of girls are missing today—dead due to sex selection abortions—creating a huge gender disparity… The lost girls ofChina is gendercide… With its heavy reliance on forced abortion, involuntary sterilization and ruinous fines for illegal children, the policy, in effect since 1979, constitutes one of the greatest continuous crimes against humanity in human history.”

I guess when we have a President with a very long pro-abortion record, I shouldn’t be surprised that the next-in-line to the White House “fully understands” the horrific policy of China.

As expected, in the wake of the inevitable criticism, Biden’s spokesperson, Kendra Barkoff, in an email, said the following, “The Obama Administration strongly opposes all aspects of China’s coercive birth limitation policies, including forced abortion and sterilization…”  Then why the hell didn’t Biden preface his remarks at the University with that statement?  Instead, an email is sent to clarify the administration’s position.

Even though I’d never make it as a diplomat, even I realize it’s not polite to insult your hosts while in their home, but I think if Biden truly “believes such practices are repugnant,” he could’ve gotten around to his economic point without saying he “fully understands” the state-sponsored forced murder of innocent babies.

Speaker John Boehner had no problem telling it straight.  “No government on Earth has the authority to place quotas on the value of innocent human life, or to treat life as an economic commodity that can be regulated and taken away on a whim by the state.”

I think this would’ve been the perfect opportunity for Biden to take the high moral ground.  While I find our own current abortion policy despicable and unacceptable at every level, I’m with Mitt Romney on this one – China’s policy is “gruesome and barbaric” — and, in my opinion, goes well beyond our own tolerance of murdering the unborn.

As Vice President, and first in line to the White House, Biden should know what he’s saying and not need a spokesman following him around to explain his words.  Walter may have Jeff Dunham, but you’d think that Biden could figure it out on his own.  So I ask you, who’s the dummy?

I don’t get it, but if you do, God bless you.

OK here is the inside story about how Biden became VP. He was standing on the corner one day waiting for his dealer when a big black lemo pulls up. A suit jumps out and asks Joe “Do you know how to change a light bulb?”. Joe said “Of course I do”. The suit says we need a guy like you and the gig pays real good so hop in. Joe jumped in the back and the rest will be swept in the dustbin of history.

i’m no fan of joe biden whatsoever ,but whatever he looks like(to me just some average white guy),i won’t take ‘aim’ at his looks. Some of us just ain’t as articulate as CCNV.i’ll just stick to a topic on hand.

China has the highest population in the world.

benefits of population control in china:include increases in average life expectancy from thirty five years in 1949 to seventy years in 1996, and decreases in infant mortality rates from two hundred per one thousand to thirty three per one thousand .

if people say that this policy is “stripping women the right to control her own fertility.”..and are anti abortion,,isn’t telling a woman that she can NOT or should not have an abortion doing the same exact thing?..as in “stripping a women the the right
    to control her own fertility.”??????

.Projected growth of China’s population is estimated to be around 1.5 billion by the year 2025.These figures will continue to rise, and the social and economic burdens will continue to plague everyone living in China.

people starving to death may not look so good when that happens,,India will surpases it by 2025,we see how well over population is working out for them.

    just MY opinion of course

Thanks, Robin. While I agree women have the right to control their own fertility by choosing to use or not to use birth control. I don’t believe a woman has the right to murder a child once that child is conceived. For me, life begins at conception and, under any circumstances, abortion is murder. Yes, I think China’s population can and should be controlled by informed, voluntary contraceptive choices, not by government-forced abortions, sterilization and infanticide. And remember, another horrific part of this story is the fact that the majority of targeted victims is baby girls.

Biden always looks like he just smelled a fart.

I think POTUS picked Biden for vp because he makes O look smart but honestly I thought he would be put in the corner wearing his bib to catch all his drooling, stupid remarks. Oh, well, it’s par for the course of this socialist administration.

The problem with accepting abortion as being moral or a right there is no limit on it. In China, unborn females are aborted at a much higher rate than unborn males. I have heard abortion proponents say abortion should not be used for sex engineering. If abortion is a right and is moral, why can’t it be used for whatever purpose the mother wants? It is pure hypocrisy for the proponents to argue that it is a right and moral but then try to state how it should be used.

Joe Biden has been an unfunny clown for years. As long as his stupid comments are aired in a domestic environment, the listener can allow for his deplorable record and mentally edit them …. but when his comments are aired on the international stage, that’s a different matter. Is there a way to pull his passport? At least until he’s out of office?

When China began aborting girl babies, I wondered what they were going to do when there were no more women to give birth – period!!!

As for Biden – oh well – what else is new?
