Trump, certainly Musk, are eccentric men but highly intelligent and there is method to the 'madness'. Bold, ballsy, and brave-- not necessarily bad. Different. Hold judgement to let the patterns unfold, we need the public educated- it is crucial for our own good. Victor Davis Hanson gives an excellent perspective and overview, in my opinion.

I don't believe Trump is highly intelligent. He's extraordinarily charismatic, and a very talented salesman, but neither he, nor Musk, has shown any depth of knowledge on serious issues facing our country. I don't understand this notion that we need to reserve judgment on Trump 10 years after he entered politics. We all know what he's about. We know his limitations and how easily manipulated he is. There's never a game of 4D chess being played by that guy, at least outside of political optics.

I do see your points, and suppose there is a lot of truth to them. Maybe to clarify, I should have stated he is a clever manipulator and if put to good use could be beneficial-- only time will tell.

A very clever manipulator for sure. And yes, if he used that talent for good, we'd be in a much better spot.
