She was always a poor campaigner outside of her safe space of the California electorate. Would a longer campaign do her any favors? Other stronger candidates would have emerged in the Democratic primaries, and I think their nomination and election is far more likely. Of course, Gretchen Whitmer would have been one of these stronger alternate candidates, so maybe your prediction of a female president was accurate in this scenario.

Where did I declare that? I have no idea if she would have won. I'm saying that if Biden resigned, she would have become president (without an election).

OK, gotcha. I misunderstood and misread that part of your column. I thought you meant "stepped aside" in his campaign, not as president.
