"Did you know that violent crime across the nation has fallen dramatically since Biden took office? The situation was much worse under Trump...."

I wish someone would explain that to Bill O'Reilly. He keeps misinforming the folks about this, as well as on other subjects.

That was a fairly good campaign pitch for Biden. Well-paying, temporary employment is ready for you.

Domestic oil production has hit an all-time high, but certainly not due to Joe "I will end fossil fuels" Biden. He can't claim credit for this win because he is unable and doesn't want to. Domestic oil production is hitting highs due to fracking technology, private investment, and market economics.

Oh, I agree about the oil production, and I also don't think the drop in violent crime has anything to do with Biden. But that's what politicians, especially ones running for re-election, do: they highlight the good things and good numbers happening under their watch. One doesn't necessarily have to take direct credit for it, but when your opponent, in this case, is hitting you for being a disaster on energy and a disaster on crime, it's political malpractice not to point out that those numbers have been better on your watch than they were under your opponent's.

All politicians, especially executive branch politicians, get disproportionate credit and blame for everything that happens on their watch. The smart politicians understand this and highlight anything and everything good that happened, while blaming the other side for all the bad stuff.

We the people, have to read between the lines, and separate fact from BS. But that is hard, especially with the collapse of journalism in the US, so it's easier, and more comforting, for people to just believe what they want to believe, and find a "news" channel or website that tells them everything they want to hear.
