Excellent episode Mr. Daly. Mr. Smith provided a lot of interesting information. I was not aware of the amount of influence Iran has in the United States.

I have questions about the discussion on the D.C. bureaucracy. How much power over the citizens of the United States do unelected bureaucrats have when creating regulations? Are we citizens receiving a good return on our "investment" (our tax dollars)? Is the Department of Government Efficiency a good idea?

Thank you Mr. Daly.

Glad you liked it. I thought it was a really good discussion as well.

Most federal regulations ultimately come from the legislative branch, but the EPA for example have been given far too much power on that front. I think we both know the answer to the tax-dollar-investment question. lol. I don't oppose the idea of DOGE, but the proposals I've heard so far have been largely unserious and uninformed, and don't address our biggest spending problems.

The DOGE will very likely over promise and under deliver. I agree about the EPA.
