To your point about partisanship, I met my dad for lunch on Sunday. Like Larry, every time I listed point after point of the moral and political rot of the Republican Party, my dad, a long time republican could only respond by “Well, the democrats are no better. Well, the democrats…”
It was very frustrating as my dad was always a Republican but never seemed to be that partisan. I guess the divide in this country is powerful
Thanks. Yeah, whataboutism is the default defense of pretty much anything-MAGA... and most of the time the comparisons are apples to oranges.
I've heard lots of stories from friends about their parents, who raised them right and taught them right from wrong, rationalize pretty much anything that comes from the political right with "But the Democrats..." It's very sad.
Hey John, just a shot in the dark here, kinda off topic. In 2013 I used to read a guy I think it was on the Townhall website, named John Ransom. He seems to have disappeared. Does that name ring a bell?
