Yep, right up there with the "All of the J6 'hostages' were coerced into pleading guilty by being threatened with more charges/jailtime" narrative that is emerging to justify the pardons.
Bill O'Reilly toed that line re: many of the j6 Defendants were coerced into pleading to lesser charges because they couldn't afford attorneys. I e-mailed him asking how many of the J6 Defendants pleaded their cases without being represented by an attorney. Of course he doesn't answer because he has no idea. Dollars-to-donuts the answer is bupkis.
He used that line in an effort to soften the criticism of his long-time buddy President Trump's universal pardon or commutation of all J6ers, even those who viscously attacked law enforcement officers with weapons.
We need to reduce spending. I also believe that we need significant reform to our Civil Service laws. The way Trump is going about it is needlessly cruel and harsh. QED
Carl, What's the favorable argument to Trump on this issue?
He's fulfilling his promise to cut government spending. :-)
I've actually seen some people trying to use that defense.
