I would guess Bob that you threw that bait hook out there for me!
JFK with his tax cuts would be considered a conservative and Clinton working with Grindrich would be considered a party traitor today. I just read several republicans didn't vote to censor the gang members. Go Figure.
I'm not going to wrestle with your attacks on Reagan, but…

I'm not going to wrestle with your attacks on Reagan, but he was free to admit mistakes and take corrective actions. Also, maybe if congress would have built on legislation he signed, we'd be at a better state.
Maybe news comes a little late to the Islands but back in the good ole days politicians actually talked to each other. Besides, Reagan could deliver good jokes half of which our current sitting president couldn't understand!
Hi Tim! You're right to the extent that my comment was baithook. But I set the bait for anyone here.
"I'm not going to wrestle with your attacks on Reagan...."
I was certainly not attacking Reagan in my post. Remember, I'm a moderate liberal - although liberal ideologues frequently consider me conservative and right-wingers frequently consider me a flaming liberal if not a socialist. I'm glad Pres. Reagan had a strong moderate streak.
Yes, President Reagan was extremely affable, witty, charming and had a strong presence. That coupled with his right-wing rhetoric probably conned millions of conservatives into making him a conservative icon.
Even today, any national GOP politician who dares not take a low bow to Pres.. Reagan iis skating on melting ice.
All well in the North. Leaves have fallen as well as snow and instead of coconuts in the trees falling, we have acorns. But, life is good if you want it to be. Aloha buddy!
