Very interesting guest; almost feel like a Part II & III is needed. A few more questions on Ukraine + questions on China. From the pilot part, would have been curious his take on the NTSB & their 100% dedication to root cause analysis.

Thanks. Patrick's a wealth of knowledge, so I'd love to have him back on in the future to talk about other things.

The Western nations are the largest commercial markets in the world. It's time for a second Iron Curtain. Germany, from what they claim, has eliminated energy from Russia and the rest of Europe needs to follow. Let's call it an Economic Iron Curtain. The EU has plans to be independent of Russian oil by 2030. If the EU is in this fight, as they say they are, then they need pay the piper, sacrifice, and ban fossil fuel imports from Russia now.

The USA banned imports of oil but this needs to be broadened. Russian oil refined in other countries is still finding its way here. Turkey needs to own up to NATO protection and end their imports of Russian fossil fuels.

We also need to pressure other Russian allies who produce oil including Iran and Venezuela with not only boycotts but intercepting oil transports.

John, again I appreciate you bringing this author to my attention and enjoy your style of letting your guest speak to complete their thoughts. Not enough of this kind of media journalism. Bravo!

I support "Hillary's War in Ukraine' and I think this is where most of the resistence on the right comes from, if Hillary Clinton or Obama touched it, it must be bad. But I think that is logic from 10-14 years ago before the Riussian invasion.. Russia invaded a sovereign country and we should help them resist it. And if we don't have to put (too many) boots on the ground and Ukraine can dimish the obviously poorly organized Russian army by grinding them down tactically, that is a good thing. The 2nd issue is Ukraine's well deserved corruption reputation. Providing this flood of money to support the Ukrainian economy and military armliment is a sure means to further corruption in Ukraine.

Glad you liked it. Yeah, I think the cable news model, in which people are bickering back in forth in a 5-minute segment, doesn't do justice to serious topics. I like inviting smart, insightful people on and hearing them out.

I started watching this and quit. We have Americans in food lines. The average person in this country is now choosing food over gasoline for their cars if they even afford to have one. I think we need to take care of the kids going to bed hungry in our own country no matter the reason before we hand over funds to Zelinski and his mansions. He is the one responsible to feed his fellow Ukranions.

>>I started watching this and quit.

Bummer. We got into some good stuff.

As for the rest, it sounds like you've fallen victim to a lot of anti-Ukraine propaganda. No one in the United States is going to bed hungry as a result of a tiny portion of our federal budget being allocated to Ukraine defense funding (90% of which never leaves our own country). In Ukraine, we're talking about a country that's effectively the victim of a genocide at the hands of an international war criminal, and their survival is in the direct interest of the free world.

Tell that to all the Mother's of dead children. Fallen victim to anti- Ukraine propaganda? It was criminal before the stiletto wearing comedian took over. Just ask Hunter and the Big Guy!

>>Tell that to all the Mother's of dead children.

What dead children are you talking about? The hundreds killed by the Russian army? Yes, I feel terrible for their mothers. I want Putin stopped.

>>Fallen victim to anti- Ukraine propaganda?

Yes. That's why you're carrying on about mansions.

>>It was criminal before the stiletto wearing comedian took over.

Good point. Ukraine totally should have elected a porn-star-banging game-show host as their leader, and then spent the next decade worshiping him.

>>Just ask Hunter and the Big Guy!

Ask them what? If corruption exists in the world, including in allied countries? It absolutely does. The Trumps know this better than most.
