The problem is that their bench is pitiful, the best are probably the governors like Moore and Shapiro who have no national recognition at all. Most if not all of them centrists at the National level have been pushed out of the party. Look at what happened to Manchin and Gabbard, supposedly both of whom No Labels attempted to recruit. Unless Trump defeats himself ( of which he is capable) I believe that he will be the next President. As you know, the insane lawfare attack on him has totally backfired because it was blatantly political in Bragg’s NYC case and almost definitely that is the only one that will get to a jury before November 5th. After the Supreme’s decision, that verdict might even need to be vacated.
