Trump versus Biden? That's how Trump would get in.

The good news is that I'm pretty sure Biden won't run. I wouldn't be surprised if he announces as much before the end of the year.

My theory had been that Biden's handlers had planned on Joe stepping down after the mid-terms, so Harris could then run as an incumbent in 2024, setting up a possible 10 year run as POTUS. The flaw in the plan? Harris is even more incoherent and unlikeable than Joe, hence the soul searching many Democrats have been doing privately and publicly over the past few months.

I think he’ll run. But we’ll see.

People love him for the wrong reasons and people hate him for the wrong reasons. I now believe we can no longer fight this windmill. Ideally, find another with a nicer personality - and have Trump support that person..

lol. The toddler in the highchair bangs his spoon.

I want to see who's actually running before I decide on who I like. I'm not a GOP recruiter.

That okay with you, spectator? If not, too bad.

name calling never replaces substance ... so you actually don't have any alternative .... got it.

You worship a consummate name-caller, spectator. You literally wanted U.S. democracy overturned to keep him in power. So spare me your spoon-banging.

There are several Republicans I'd vote for, but they're not "alternatives" until they become candidates. Once I see who's in the hunt, I'll let everyone know who I like.

'btw ... insults are usually a sign of weakness on the substantive issue ... .and since the FBI established there was no insurrection ... so you can put that one to bed ... However, I do appreciate your admission that that you actually don't have anyone in mind who you are prepared to state could be a viable leader of the GOP.

My concern regarding the midterms is Trump and his toadies will push the idea that the Red Wave was a result of the general population embracing the most extreme MAGAverse ideas, rather than simply a repudiation of the Democrats and their stewardship of the country for the past 2 years.

For example, I can imagine a pundit on Fox saying something like, "Mitch McConnell was a fool for questioning the 'quality of our candidates'. Trump KNEW Hershel Walker and Dr. Oz were great candidates...."

Oh, Trump will claim credit for GOP wins, and blame a corrupt system for GOP losses, regardless of what happens with the Senate.

And yeah, Fox folks will definitely say what you describe if either of those guys win. Any outcome can easily be spun to nurture their viewership base.
