You nailed it again Mr. Daly. Career politicians fail to provide leadership because most of their efforts during their time in office go to being re-elected because they are addicted to power. They simply do not care about problem solving. I could be wrong, but I believe many of our problems are a direct result of the antics of these "leaders."

Thanks. Far too many legislators would much rather use a problem to run on, and stay in power, than actually fix the problem.

Very true.

"What happens in every single election is: somebody overreaches, and then you have a backlash."

Perfectly stated. It annoys me that every time one party has a big election win, they act as if they were given a mandate by the voters to enact the most radical elements of their agenda.

If the GOP has a big night on 11/8, I predict the following:

1. Donald Trump will claim credit for it.

2. The GOP will seriously debate a national abortion ban.

3. The House will conduct hearings on Hunter's laptop, and what Joe knew or didn't know.

4. The House will impeach Joe Biden for... something.

Even though voters care about Inflation, crime, the border etc...

I think all are quite likely except #2, for a reason that a lot of people don't realize: most Republican politicians don't care much about abortion, and haven't for a long time. I honestly think a lot of them were dismayed along with Democrats when Roe was overturned, because they no longer knew how to navigate the issue.
