This is a great summation that's entirely engrossing. Also less Trump sycophants than on here trying to make out like Jan 6th was no big deal.

The moral cowardice and hypocrisy of the GOP in disallowing a bi-partisan representation of the committee is absolutely woeful.

Thank you. Yes, the hyper-partisanship, especially on something as bedrock as American democracy, has been shameful.

Interesting- here, like elsewhere, no mention of compelling evidence of voter fraud by way of altered methods of voting by state edict. Also, the cabal of preventing the mention of “2000 Mules” by news organs where cell phone data was filtered to show patterns of mail-drop vote fraud is apparent, and supports Trump’s arguments. It is your opinion that Trump caused the J6 riot- it is not mine. Selective outrage by you and others is indeed telling.

"2000 Mules" is only compelling before you run it through a fact-check:

https://factcheck.thedispatch.com/p/fact-checking-dinesh-dsouzas-2000?s=r

https://podcast.thedispatch.com/p/revenge-of-the-incumbents-in-georgia?s=r#details (second half of the podcast).

And of course Trump caused the J6 riot. He incited widespread political outrage for two months, selling millions of his faithful supporters on an endless stream of outrageous lies and conspiracy theories (of which numerous members of his own administration explained to him at the time were totally false) to subvert the results of an election he unequivocally lost.

After weeks of failing to overturn the will of 81 million American voters, January 6th at the U.S. Capitol — according to Trump — was to be the day of reckoning. It was the date and place that Trump had set as America’s last chance for all the alleged electoral wrongdoings to be righted. It was the date and place on which Vice President Mike Pence supposedly had an ethical and patriotic duty to stop the certification of the nation’s electoral votes (a measure that was never going to happen, nor would it have made any difference). It was the last chance for the republic to be "saved."

And because it wasn't "saved", we saw what happened next.

Again, these people wouldn't have even been at the Capitol on January 6 if not for Trump, let alone consumed with fury over the false notion that their very democracy has been stripped from them and their country. And some throw-away line with the word "peaceful" in it, 20 minutes into a rousing speech that followed over two months fueling people's anger well over the boiling point, wasn't going to suddenly turn down the temperature.

Lastly, what do you mean by "selective outrage"? If a Democratic president had done exactly what Trump did, and it was his supporters who had invaded the Capitol, I'd have exactly the same view as I do now. Would you?

I spoke out strongly against the BLM riots, as well as the "Russian collusion" narrative, and people like Adam Schiff who lied about the government's findings. So yeah, I'd really appreciate some clarification on the "selective outrage" comment.

Gibberish. You dwelled on things we’re not speaking about. Cell phone data is time stamped. So any thoughts of cars driving by are not this. A clear pattern of repeat visits, many at night, with repeat visits to Dem Organizations smacks of illegal activity. Family drop-offs is not what we are speaking about. The fact that you cannot understand this is not my problem. You’re grasping for confirmation bias.. The repeat visits by the same phone is all we need. So - Not Debunked..
