On Jan 6th last year the individual I voted for twice (actually my votes were against Clinton and the clown we have now) forever lost my support. I hope that narcissist is permanently finished.

You now have your confirmation for your bias. Good, as we watch the commies take over, and the feckless opposition do nothing. Good for you.

Thomas, the best barrier to "commies taking over" is having a serious Republican party that stands up for conservative principles. I've been saying this for years. Instead, the GOP joined a personality cult in worship of a big-government reality-TV host who led the purge of the party's platform, standards, morals, and anyone who chose the country over his ego.

This week was the third consecutive election cycle in which the Dems owned Republicans because of Trump, because the party was too cowardly to kick him to the curb a long time ago. That ain't my fault. You can thank MAGA-world for all of it.

The next chapter in the drama will be his "big announcement" on 11/15. Will he announce his 2024 run as planned. Will he come up with something else to "announce". Or will he quietly "postpone" the event?

And as we both acknowledged before, this is all knee jerk reaction without seeing the latest polls on how Trump rates with the GOP base. If he is still polling high, the grovelers will immediately snap back into line.

My guess is that he'll indeed follow through with the announcement as planned. And yes, the grovelers will run back if the base demands it.
