Welcome to Dizzyworld

It recently occurred to me that we are all living in a very bizarre amusement park. We all know that if you take a few too many rides on one of those whirling contraptions, by the time you climb out, you’re going to wind up with wobbly legs and a hangover. Well, keep in mind that every second of every day the earth is spinning around its axis at a rate of 1,040 miles an hour. Is it any wonder that we’re all as dizzy as drunken mice?

But even inebriated rodents would find it amusing that both Arizona and Texas have been called on the carpet before the U.N.’s Human Rights Council. In Arizona’s case, the problem is that they are trying to put a stop to illegal immigration. In the case of Texas, the federal government is offended that a sovereign state is demanding that would-be voters provide photo IDs proving they have a legitimate right to cast a ballot.

Now, on the face of it, no sane human being would argue that Arizona doesn’t have the responsibility, let alone the right, to prevent non-citizens from bankrupting it by overwhelming its schools, hospitals and social services or that Texas hasn’t the moral and legal obligation to do everything in its power to prevent its elections from being contaminated by voter fraud. But of course, in America, in 2012, sane people seem to be greatly out-numbered by the knuckleheads on the Left.

But over and above that, consider who is opposing these two states. In each case, the war is being conducted by Eric Holder, the unrepentant racist who oversees the Department of Justice. Talk about your misnomers! It should be re-named the Department of Social Justice.

In the case of Arizona, he has the support of Mexico, a third world nation that should replace the eagle grasping a snake on its flag with a junkie wielding a hypodermic. In the case of Texas, Holder has his race-baiting chums in the NAACP taking the battle to the U.N.

Next, let us consider the Human Rights Council. In case you haven’t checked lately, a few of its sleazier members are China, Uganda, Congo, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Libya and Cuba. One can only assume that when the boneheads at the United Nations placed that scummy group on a council that is supposed to oversee human rights violations, the rationale must have been it takes a thief to catch a thief.

In a related matter, in the Washington, D.C., Superior Court building, there is a photo exhibit dedicated to honoring “Black Women Paving the Way to Greatness in Politics.”

In spite of that grandiose title, they only came up with eight honorees, so you can see that the pickings were mighty slim. I mean, aside from Condoleezza Rice, who served as Secretary of State with some distinction, two of the remaining seven were former Illinois Sen. Carol Moseley Braun, who once referred to George Will as a member of the Ku Klux Klan for daring to question her misuse of campaign funds, and Michele Obama, who once got married. I guess, all things considered, we should be grateful that they didn’t stoop to including Barbara Lee, Maxine Waters and Sheila Jackson Lee.

On the other hand, they did find room on the wall for Angela Davis, who once upon a time was the leader of the American Communist Party and, even more notably, once made the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List. She pulled off that coup after providing the guns used by James McClain, who used them to shoot his way out of a California courtroom where he was being tried for the murder of a prison guard. During his escape, McClain killed Judge Harold Haley with the shotgun provided by Ms. Davis.

A further sick irony of Angela Davis’s being honored in an American courthouse is that she has seriously argued that any black serving a prison sentence in the United States, even for robbery, child molestation or rape, is in reality a political prisoner.

She ultimately beat the rap and, quite naturally, wound up being a professor at UC Santa Cruz.

I find it interesting that in the Soviet Union, a utopia for leftists, political dissidents were regularly sent off to Siberia or lined up against a wall and shot; in America, the Great Satan where capitalism rules, radicals like Ms. Davis, along with Weathermen William Ayers (University of Illinois) and Bernadine Dohrn (Northwestern University), all get to be tenured professors, and Barack Obama (University of Chicago) gets to wind up in the White House.

Is it any wonder that parents, who are mortgaging their homes in order to send their tots off to be educated at American universities, wind up with bobble-head dolls they can barely recognize, who endlessly parrot Saul Alinsky, Noam Chomsky and Herbert Marcuse while praising the likes of Che Guevara, Hugo Chavez and the Palestinian Authority?

My suggestion to American parents is that you do your wallets and America a huge favor by forgetting about Harvard, Yale and Berkeley, and, instead, send your kids off to a decent trade school.

Just think how much better off the world would be if his folks had raised Karl Marx to be a plumber.

Peeling the Onion Known as Trayvon Martin

After you finish this bonus article inspired by recent events, we hope you’ll also enjoy It’s Time to Focus on Current Events.

In the beginning, we were told that Trayvon Martin, who was shot and killed by George Zimmerman, was a model student and a credit to his race. We were told that he had been suspended from school for tardiness. And we were constantly shown his photo, in which he looked almost cherub-like.

Then we heard that it wasn’t tardiness, but truancy. Finally, we got the news that his suspension was drug-related. Later, we learned that the photo of the smiling Trayvon was five years old. We then got to see a photo of 17-year-old Trayvon looking like a thug. We also learned that he was 6’3” and that his twitter comments hardly paint a picture of a choir boy. We also learned that he had been found to have stolen jewelry, a screwdriver and graffiti paraphernalia, in his backpack.

None of that is an excuse for being shot down in cold blood. But, then, George Zimmerman was found to have gotten his nose broken and the back of his head bashed and bloodied in the aftermath of his encounter with Martin, so it may not have been cold-blooded, after all.

What we do know is that if George Zimmerman’s father, rather than his mother, had been Hispanic and if his last name had therefore been Gomez, Lopez or Chavez, nobody would have ever heard of the incident. We certainly know that Obama wouldn’t have chimed in, and Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and the Black Panthers, would never have rushed down to Sanford, Florida.

Some people have said that Obama had to respond to a reporter’s question, after all, but we all know that nobody gets to ask Obama a question he doesn’t want to answer. And while other people seem to be perfectly satisfied with his response, I’m not. For one thing, when it’s a white victim of black crime, he never says anything. This time, he felt compelled to say, “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon Martin.” I wonder how the media would have responded if a white 17-year-old had been shot by a black person, and a white president had said, “If I had a son, he would look like Billy Jones.”

With Obama and his hand puppet, Attorney General Eric Holder, it always comes down to race. That’s bad enough, but the fact that Obama sold himself as the first post-racial president makes his response all the more insufferable.

While Sharpton and all the other usual suspects are screaming for justice, is there anyone who actually believes that if it’s determined in a court of law that George Zimmerman is innocent of any wrongdoing that America won’t experience Rodney King-type riots in the aftermath?

In a related matter, Rep. Laura Richardson, a black congresswoman from California, who is already being investigated by the House Ethics Committee for various violations, has now been accused by a former aide of treating her and other staff members like chattel.

This comes after Sheila Jackson Lee was voted the most obnoxious member of Congress by congressional staffers; Charles Rangel was found guilty of 11 infractions by a House committee; Maxine Waters is under investigation for questionable financial dealings; and Rep. Hank Johnson made America cackle by worrying during a House hearing whether the island might tip over if too many sailors and their families were relocated to Guam.

It’s not white America that has set back race relations; it’s Obama, Holder and the corrupt and ignorant dingbat members of the Black Congressional Caucus. It’s they, along with race baiters like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, who consistently ignore black crime and the black illegitimacy rate while berating whites for alleged grievances.

It takes an honest black man such as Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson to say, “It’s hypocritical of so-called black leaders to call for the prosecution of George Zimmerman and accuse the police of racism without knowing the facts. Black-on-black crime takes place every day. And blacks kill whites in far greater numbers than whites kill blacks. Yet, we only see these leaders and their hypnotized black followers worked up when a black is victimized by another race. This is racist and evil.

“Where were the NAACP, Al Sharpton, the Black Caucus and black ministers when black flash mobs were terrorizing the city of Philadelphia and attacking whites and others? It was so bad that Mayor Michael Nutter threatened to jail parents if they were not willing to get their thug children under control. In Kansas City, a 13-year-old white kid was attacked by two black teens who poured gasoline on him and set him on fire, saying, ‘You get what you deserve, white boy.’ If these leaders were sincere, they would condemn crime across the board.

“It’s unfortunate that the parents of Trayvon Martin would associate with the likes of Al Sharpton and allow their loss to be exploited. Just imagine the support they would receive from Americans of all races if they rejected hate and called for calm and due process to allow the truth to come out.”

Instead, Trayvon’s mother has trademarked his name and hoodies just like Trayvon’s, as they’re being marketed, are selling on the Internet for $80.

Is it any wonder that Republicans of all colors can’t wait for regime change to take place on November 6th?

Speaking of the election, I just heard Rick Santorum say that he would be willing to run as Romney’s vice-president.

All I know is that if it comes to pass, President Romney would not only need a chief of staff and a solicitor general, but an official food taster.

The Political Facts of Life

After years of being exposed to the American media in all its forms, I’ve concluded that conservatives resent being lied to nearly as much as liberals hate being told the truth.

It has also occurred to me that expecting socialists to be logical and to learn the lessons of history, even very modern history, is totally unrealistic. You might as well ask Gloria Steinem’s famous fish to ride that bicycle she once suggested a fish needed as much as a woman needed a man. Of course, to be fair to Ms. Steinem, that was many years before she met the millionaire of her dreams and married David Bale. Although rumor has it that she only married him because he faced deportation for overstaying his visa, who’s to say that at the age of 66, Ms. Steinem hadn’t simply outlived her voguish cynicism?

In a cheap and typically simpleminded shot at Governor Perry, Barack Obama recently blamed the horrific wild fires in Texas on, of all things, global warming. You can bet that Al Gore is kicking himself for not coming up with that one. But to make up for that glaring oversight, the fatuous and fat-headed Mr. Gore is now blaming global warming for the $15 trillion deficit, the late-season collapse of the Boston Red Sox and the rising cost of Twinkies.

As you’re probably aware, the Justice Department has been harassing the Gibson Guitar Company. Gibson is of course an American institution that has been turning out world-class instruments for decades. Eric Holder, otherwise known as Obama’s hit-man, denies that Gibson has been targeted because the company’s chairman and CEO, Henry Juszkiewicz, is a longtime contributor to the Republican Party. They further deny that they are scapegoating him for negatively impacting the environment by using too many letters in his last name. (Scrabble enthusiasts, by the way, might be interested in knowing that if proper names were allowed, his would be worth 217 points.)

In spite of the fact that Attorney General Holder refused to prosecute the Black Panthers for intimidating voters; oversaw the program known as Fast and Furious, which saw to it that hundreds, perhaps thousands, of semi-automatic weapons wound up in the hands of Mexican gangsters; and has berated white Americans for, essentially, being guilty of being white Americans; I’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt. But in order to do so, I’d also have to be the sort of bonehead who believes that Solyndra would have been the recipient of half a billion taxpayer dollars and personal visits from Obama and Biden if its snarky owner, George Kaiser, hadn’t been a major bundler for Obama’s election campaigns.

That brings us to a question that has long plagued me. Namely, why would politicians, people who live inside a large fish bowl, people, moreover, who are despised by at least half the population simply because they have a (D) or an (R) after their name, tempt fate and their countless enemies by taking graft and/or indulging in sexual escapades?

What on earth would ever lead these dunderheads to believe that they will somehow elude public exposure when the likes of Wilbur Mills, Bill Clinton, John Edwards, Gary Hart, Anthony Weiner, William Jefferson, Duke Cunningham, Eric Massa and Mark Sanford, were all found out and suffered the predictable consequences?

Was it the appeal of danger? Was it sheer hubris? Or were they all simply high on crack or heroin when they tossed their careers, their reputations and their families, under the proverbial bus?

Which leads me to wonder why it is that thanks to cheaters like Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa, we now have drug tests for baseball players, along with race horses, but not for the creeps who decide our tax rates, write our laws and determine whether, in our old age, bureaucrats will get to tell doctors and surgeons whether to treat our ailments or turn us into mulch.

One can envision in our brave new ObamaCare world a little boy picking up a pack of wafers from the breakfast table, reading the label and asking his father what Soylent Green is; and the father tousling the lad’s hair and replying, “Why, Jimmy, that’s Grandma Becky.”

You Call These Servants?

In the land of the blind, it’s said that the one-eyed man is king. In our own land, it seems that hypocrisy trumps sight. Americans, whose ancestors fought a war to free themselves of monarchs, now find themselves under the thumb of kings, queens, dukes and earls, who deign to pass themselves off as public servants.

Consider that in spite of a dire economy, Obama keeps adding White House staff. The number of fetch-and-carriers is now 454, at a cost to the taxpayers of $37 million-a-year. So, how about the next time the Obamas decide to host a gala for the well-heeled likes of Tom Hanks, Paul McCartney and Jerry Seinfeld, the guests at least pay for their own drinks?

On top of that, the taxpayers had to pony up $800,000, so that Michelle, her mom and the kids, could take a trip to Africa. No doubt they were anxious to see where Barack wasn’t born.

I can’t even count high enough to figure out what it’s costing us to finance Obama’s travels around the country so he can do the all-important work of campaign fund-raising.

Speaking of Obama, the Boston Globe, which even Chris Matthews can’t dismiss as a conservative smear sheet, recently came up with the news that Barack Obama, Sr., a notorious womanizer, tried to foist baby Barack off on the Salvation Army. So now, at long last, we actually know what his father’s dreams amounted to; not really all that different from Casey Anthony’s, it seems..

But, God knows, Barack Obama isn’t the only hypocrite holding down a good-paying job in Washington. What’s ironic is that politicians spend a few trivial hours with prostitutes and it ruins their reputations and sinks their careers, but they spend half their lives being wined and dined by lobbyists, and all it does is increase their chances of getting re-elected.

Come to think of it, it’s the prostitutes who have congressmen as clients who should be ashamed. One just naturally expects them to have higher standards than our elected officials.

I wouldn’t want you to get the idea that ours are the only politicians who should be horse-whipped in the public square on a regular basis. In the wake of Eric Holder’s latest calamity, the ATF debacle code-named “Fast and Furious,” which saw scores of guns sent to south of the border drug cartels, Mexican politicians have been bitching about our ignoring Mexico’s sovereignty. This is the same country that has spent decades doing all it can to encourage their poor, their illiterate and their criminals, to treat our sovereignty with the same respect one normally extends to used piñatas.

Recently, I wrote an article in which I made fun of gays for inventing a mental disorder they call homophobia as a way of demeaning those people who oppose same-sex marriages or are merely sick and tired of Gay Pride parades disrupting traffic. I don’t happen to know anyone who has an irrational fear of homosexuals. In the piece, I stated that gays were the only group that had the chutzpah to suggest that questioning their behavior was tantamount to a mental derangement.

Well, a reader reminded me that there is something Muslims and the media like to call Islamophobia. In rebuttal, though, I pointed out that Islamists are ignorant, blood-thirsty cretins, and there is nothing irrational about being terrified of these sociopathic Neanderthals. They are creatures, barely human, after all, who have apparently decided that having explosives surgically implanted in their bodies is one swell way of expressing their religious faith.

Finally, a question I am often asked is how it is that such arrogant, unappealing men, with such obnoxious personalities and grating voices, as Charles Schumer, Barney Frank, Harry Reid and Henry Waxman, can convince so many people to keep re-electing them. The simple answer is that they’re running against other politicians, who generally suffer from similar shortcomings.

It also explains why women who look and sound like Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Sheila Jackson Lee and Hillary Clinton, have been able to achieve such status and power in the wacky world of politics. But, to me, the truly amazing thing about these females is that, against all odds, their husbands weren’t devoured immediately after mating.

…And Justice for All?

There’s a lot about the Department of Justice that I just don’t get.  The main thing I don’t get, though, is Eric Holder, the Attorney General.  In the last two years, he’s done a lot of very strange things.

Most recently, the DOJ decided to try terrorist Ahmed Ghailani in a civil trial, rather than a military tribunal, which turned out to be a disaster.  Just this week, he was acquitted of 279 counts and found guilty of only one count of conspiracy to destroy government property.  Nice going, Mr. Holder.

Last year, the DOJ announced it intended to try the self-proclaimed mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, in NYC as well, despite overwhelming opposition from both political parties.  Although Holder’s had a change of heart regarding Mohammed’s trial, I’m hoping that this latest fiasco in the Ghailani trial was a wake-up call and showed Holder and the Obama administration that it would be a very big mistake to pursue civil trials for Mohammed and other terrorists.

Mr. Holder ordered the FBI to give the Christmas Day underwear bomber Miranda warnings without even consulting intelligence officials.

In May of this year, before the House Judiciary Committee, Mr. Holder wouldn’t allow himself to concede that terrorists are motivated by “radical Islam.”  No matter how many times he was asked, he just couldn’t say it.

In the same month, Holder went to Oakland, California’s Youth Uprising and criticized the Arizona Immigration Law as being “divisive” with the potential for racial profiling being increased.  Yet, on May 13, before the House Judiciary Committee, he admitted he hadn’t even read the law.

How does the Attorney General of the United States stand up and criticize a state for trying to protect its citizens by passing a law, which mirrors the federal law by the way, when he hasn’t even read the law?

Now, the federal government will end up spending God knows how many taxpayers’ dollars, in its lawsuit against the state of Arizona despite the fact that 50% of Americans oppose the lawsuit and only 33% approve it.  Sixty-one percent of Americans favor passage of a similar law in their own states.  Does Holder plan to sue every state which enacts a similar law?

What I don’t get is if the DOJ is so concerned about Arizona’s law conflicting with federal law, why isn’t it pursuing lawsuits against sanctuary cities which go out of their way to protect illegal aliens, contrary to existing federal law?

Now, the DOJ is reporting on New Jersey Republican Gov. Chris Christie spending $2,176 more than the budgeted hotel rate allows.  Wow.

But it’s the DOJ’s handling of the New Black Panther Party that worries me the most.

On Election Day in 2008, two New Black Panther Party members in paramilitary gear stood outside a polling place with batons harassing whites claiming to be “security.”  When I saw it, I thought, ok, you’ve got a couple of thugs trying to intimidate people.  Their guy won so that’s the end of the story.  Well, think again.

The Bush Justice Department brought a civil complaint against three members of the group alleging violations of the Voting Rights Act.  While the Obama administration won a default judgment in federal court, it inexplicably moved to dismiss the charges after getting one of the Party members to agree not to carry a “deadly weapon” near a polling place until 2012.  Such a deal but, I said, what the hey, that was the end of the story.  Well, think yet again.

Since that time, an ex-official at the DOJ, J. Christian Adams, has testified before the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, that the DOJ has repeatedly showed “hostility” toward those cases which involved black defendants.  While he believed the lawsuit was an “open and shut case,” he said the DOJ’s hostility towards cases involving black defendants was “pervasive.”  The DOJ, of course, has denied those statements.

Another prosecutor at the DOJ, Christopher Coates, testified at the same Commission and said the “downgrading of the case against the New Black Panther Party was evidence of a Justice Department culture which discouraged ‘race neutral’ enforcement of civil rights laws.”  He said that, after President Obama and Eric Holder took office, the “culture” intensified leading to his departure as chief of the voting rights section early this year.  The whole thing, as my mother used to say, “stinks on ice.”

What makes it even more disturbing is that one of those vile thugs at the polling place, King Samir Shabazz, the New Black Panther Party’s Philadelphia leader who professes to hate all white people, is heard saying if the black man wants freedom, he’s going to have to kill some crackers and their babies.  If you don’t believe me, see for yourself.

On the one hand, there’s Mr. Holder saying that we’re to engage one another in talking about race, and, on the other hand, according to Messrs. Adams and Coates, the DOJ systematically ignores cases which involve black defendants and white victims.

So what happened to blind justice?  What’s the reasoning behind these decisions?  The DOJ had won the civil lawsuit against the three defendants and then, after Eric Holder took over, moved to dismiss the case which raises serious concerns about his leadership.

If we’re supposed to have an honest discussion about all this, then I think Mr. Holder owes the American people an explanation as to why he dismissed the Election Day lawsuit.  I’d like to know why Shabazz wasn’t charged with hate speech or, at the very least, with disturbing the peace as a result of his statements shown in the video.

I can only imagine what would happen to me if I stood on the streets of Seattle and said that I hated every black person and we should kill some black people and their babies.  There is no question in my mind that I would be arrested and prosecuted.  So, why not Shabazz?  The failure to prosecute him certainly supports the statements of Messrs. Adams and Coates.

I don’t get it, but, if you do, God bless you.
